 Construction – The EXP-17 is made of multiple layers of high-tech E-Glass fiber, foam core and vinylester resin. For a high glass to resin ratio we are using vaccum bagging to build all our boat models. It is a labor intensive process that produces a kayak that is lighter and significantly stronger than other, more expensive kayaks. Carbon fiber and kevlar(c) layers are also available on request. For integrity, durability and safety, the bulkheads are made from fiberglass and are carefully fitted in place. Attention to details includes a fully adjustable seat for enhanced comfort and appropriate boat trim. Oversized hatch openings allow for easy loading and unloading of gear (especially the likes of bulky synthetic sleeping bags). Outfitting is completed with the addition of a foot-control rudder for precise control and efficiency.
